Napalm

Banksy
"Napalm"

Banksy is an anonymous graffiti artist who is known for his controversial statements.
Napalm has been used as the generic name for flammable liquids (such as gasoline) used in warfare. The child in the middle of this piece is a victim of the Vietnam War, a time when napalm bombs were being used (thus the title). This picture says so much about how commercialism in America is meant to please children and to be entertaining. However, it points out in a massive way that not all children are fortunate enough to have happy meals and watch Disney movies or go to Disney World. Millions of children live in poverty while commercialism prays on more 'fortunate' children, ones that know nothing of starvation and poverty.
