Love Song is a surrealist painting by Giorgio de Chirico created in 1914. The painting depicts a typical Roman building with various objects surrounding it. In the background we can see a brick wall with a steam train passing by. On a canvas next to the building is a sculpture and a rubber glove. In the front is the green ball. The three objects in the fore front are out of proportion, which is not uncommon in surrealism. Although it is not certain exactly what any of these mean, Giorgio tried to convey what he called a "metaphysical" form of art. He wanted people to look beyond what is there. For example, the head and the glove can represent a human, although a human is not necessarily seen there are still parts present.
